Al-Si-Mg alloy

UTS: 325 MPa, density 2.70 gm/cc

Industry standard 6061 using silicon and magnesium alloying elements to provide light, cost-competitive structures in the T6 heat-treated condition (normally achieved by placing the whole fabrication in a heat-treatment furnace).

061 alloy is very suitable for use in hydro-formed shapes due to its' high ductility, and can also be used in conjunction with butted profiles subject to design parameters.
